A monumental edifice of the theatre was built between
1825-1833 according to a project of Antonio Corazzi.
In its rooms there are performed the greatest theatrical
performances in Poland.

The oldest and the biggest Catholic necropolis in Warsaw,
that was found in 1790. This is a place where are buried
outstanding citizens of merit for the country and the
city.

PALACE OF CULTURE AND SCIENCE

The biggest in Warsaw, Palace of Culture and Science
(234,5 m high) is also the largest and the highest building
in Poland. It was built between 1952-1954 on Stalin's
order as a symbol of communists' power over Poland.
Defilad Square, on which Pałac Kultury I Nauki stands,
is currently the biggest square in Europe. During three
years of its building there died 16 workers because
of disrespect by the communists the basic rules of work.
To construct this building 40 mln bricks were used and
the building covers 3 hectares and has 3288 rooms. In
the building currently one can find museum, theatres,
cinemas, restaurants, casino and many offices. From
the viewing area on the 30 floor spreads a wonderful
view on whole Warsaw.

The biggest bazaar in Europe that covers about 32 hectares.
It is worth seeing however one should be careful on
the pickpockets.
