AIRPORT
10 km on the south - east from the center of the city
there is intentional airport - Okęcie. This is the only
one airport in Warsaw and the biggest in Poland. This
is the most modern airport in the East and Central Europe.
Here one can find cash machines, exchange offices and
free - tax shops. When one wants to change the currency
one should compare the exchange rates in every exchange
offices. A tourist find here also information for tourists
where can buy maps and city guides. Nearby the airport
there are several car-rental companies and three large
car parkings. To the center one can get thanks to bus
number 175 that is available till 11 p.m. like also
night bus number 611, taking taxi to the center coast
about 40 zł (10 Euro). One should be careful on taxis
without signs and symbols and fix the fare at the beginning
before one gets into a taxi.
TRAIN
The main train station is Warszawa Centralna, where
stop every train that arrives to Warsaw. The platforms
are situated underground, to get to the platforms one
should use escalator. On the floor above platforms like
also shops, ticket offices, kiosk, cash machines and
fast-food bars. Above this floor there is the main hall
which besides many ticket offices is has also information
offices for tourists. To get out of the train station
one can use exits that ate on the main hall and one
level lower. Near the station there are many bus stops,
metro station and taxi ranks. The nearest hotel is Mariott,
it is in front of the main entrance to the station.
BUS
International buses usually stop nearby the train station.
The tickets one can buy in private trucking companies
which offices are also on the train station and in the
center of the city. The main bus station for domestic
buses is Dworzec Centralny PKS. To get to the bus station
one should take buses: 127, 130, 508, 517, 523, 605
and fast bus E5. On the national roads there are two
trucking companies domestic PKS and private Polski Express.
