Post
offices in Poland are called 'Poczta'. One can find
them in every town and city or even small villages.
Mail boxes are red in colour. Post offices are usually
open from 8am to 6pm but in larger cities there are
main offices which are open all day and night. If you
want your letter to be delivered in a short time, buy
more expensive stamps or pay an extra charge for accelerated
letter.
The
charge for every impulse (3 min) is 0.33 zł for a local
call and 0,33 zł ( 1 min) zl for long-distance calls.
It is much cheaper to make long distance call from 6pm
to 8am and at weekends, because then it costs 0,33 zł
for 3 min. In every post office you can buy phone cards,
which allow you to phone from public phones. You will
find the public phones in streets, near/into post offices,
and into hotels, restaurants or pubs. If you make long
