Most
hotels, restaurants, larger shops, travel agencies,
airlines and petrol stations accept payments with credit
cards. Stickers on the doors and windows of businesses
usually indicate which credit cards will be accepted
for payment. Most banks will give cash advances on credit
cards supported by a valid passport.
At
now there are almost 7000 automatic telling machines
(ATM) in Poland. But cash machines are practically inaccessible
outside urban areas. They accept the following cards:
Visa, Visa Electron, Eurocard/MasterCard, Maestro, Cirrus,
American Express, Diners Club, PolCard. The best card
to bring is VISA, because it's honoured by numerous
banks.
